Gaw NP Capital Wins Three Highly Coveted Real Estate Development & Design Awards

(Hanoi, Vietnam) June 2011 – The results of the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2011 in association with Bloomberg Television have been revealed, with Gaw NP Capital receiving three awards across a range of categories. Successful entrants were announced at a high profile awards presentation and gala dinner held at the Longemont Hotel in Shanghai in late May, and Gaw NP Capital was distinguished amongst the crowd.

The awards received by Gaw NP Capital include Best Leisure Development in Vietnam for Montgomerie Links Vietnam, the award winning golf course that houses The Estates at Montgomerie Links. Indochina Plaza Hanoi, Gaw NP Capital’s first landmark development in Hanoi, was Highly Commended for Mixed Use Architecture and Hyatt Regency Danang, the resort and residential development that is transforming Vietnam’s Central Coast, was Highly Commended for Mixed Use Interior Design. Hyatt Regency Danang was the only entrant from Vietnam recognized for its outstanding interiors.

A record number of 21 different countries were represented in this year’s Asia Pacific Property Awards. For Vietnam alone, there were more than 20 entrants, covering both commercial and residential categories. In addition to Gaw NP Capital, other winners included CapitaLand’s Beau Rivage and Alinco’s Tan Son Nhat Residential for residential developments; Aedas Vietnam for architecture; and Savills and CB Richard Ellis for residential and commercial real estate agencies.

Commenting on the awards, Peter Ryder, CEO of Indochina Land, said, “This year’s awards were even more competitive than last, as the caliber and number of entrants has risen. We are humbled to accept several design awards for Indochina Plaza Hanoi and Hyatt Regency Danang, and pleased to share the honor with an exceptional team of international designers with whom we collaborated on these two projects, including Gravity Partnership of Hong Kong, Benwood Studio Shanghai, PTW Architects and Diana Simpson Design from Australia. Additionally, we are proud to receive the Five-Star Best Leisure Development in Vietnam Award for our Montgomerie Links Vietnam Golf Course and Estates, which we believe will soon become one of the most recognized golf and country club retreats in Asia.”
The judging panel for the International Property Awards is formed by a large group of professionals whose collective knowledge of the property industry is unsurpassed. This year’s judges include James Bacon, UK account manager of Google; Peter Bolton King, group chief executive of the National Federation of Property professionals; David Dalby of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS); and Mike McNamara of the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).

Stuart Shield, president of the International Property Awards, says, “Once again I’ve been staggered by the excellence shown by the winning companies across the Asia Pacific region and, indeed, the overall quality of entries throughout.”

Highly Commended Mixed Use Interior Design (Vietnam) – Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa
